Cookie Policy

Last updated: 1 January 2024

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage for the same purposes. This policy explains exactly what we use, why, and how you can control it.

Tier 1 — Essential & legitimate interests (no consent required)

These are set automatically. They are necessary for the service to function or are justified under legitimate interests (PECR 2003). You cannot opt out of essential cookies without losing core functionality.

Tier 2 — Consent required

These are only set after you explicitly click Accept all in the cookie banner, or enable them in your account settings. You can withdraw consent at any time — the data collection stops immediately.

No third-party tracking cookies

BiteFlow does not use any third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We do not share your behavioural data with advertisers or data brokers.

Managing your preferences

You can change your cookie preferences at any time:

  • From the banner — if you dismiss the banner without choosing, it will reappear on your next visit.
  • From account settings — once logged in, visit Settings → Privacy to update your Tier 2 consent.
  • Via your browser — you can delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Note that deleting the session cookie will log you out.

Changes to this policy

If we introduce new cookies or change how existing ones work, we will update this page and, where required by PECR, re-seek your consent.
